Gardens of Hope and Healing
The Gardens are created in the shape of a heart to symbolize the love the families have for those they lost by suicide. The tree represents a new beginning every spring and renewed hope for the survivors. These Gardens of Hope and Healing are built in honor of all those who died by suicide. These gardens are permanent community resources dedicated to all suicide loss survivors and those who support them.
The North Highlands Park of Philipstown in Cold Spring, NY

The Philipstown Town Board passed a resolution approving the building of a garden on this site. We are in the process of hiring a landscape contractor to build the garden.
The Garden of Hope and Healing on the Putnam Trailway in Carmel, NY
The Garden of Hope and Healing has been completed and dedicated on the Putnam Trailway in Carmel. This beautiful garden is built in loving memory of all those who have died by suicide. This garden is a serene space of comfort and healing, will help increase suicide awareness and provide community support for individuals and families who have been touched by suicide loss.

The Garden of Remembrance, Carmel, NY
The Nicole Ettere Garden of Remembrance is located in Putnam County at 110 Old Route Six, Carmel, NY. This location is the Donald B. Smith Putnam County Government Campus visited by many people on a daily basis.

This first garden inspired the creation of the Foundation and the building of community gardens to support all suicide loss survivors.

The Foundation’s goal is to create Gardens of Hope and Healing in New York State partnering with towns and counties. These Gardens are being built as community resources to support suicide loss survivors, increase suicide awareness and reduce the stigma associated with suicide.
