Garden of Remembrance
The Garden was created in the shape of a heart to symbolize the love the families have for those they lost by suicide. The tree represents a new beginning every spring and renewed hope for the survivors. NAMI-Putnam County contributed funding for this Garden of Hope in memory of all those in Putnam County who died by suicide.

Future Gardens of Remembrance
The Foundation’s goal is to create several gardens throughout New York State to raise suicide awareness and reduce the stigma associated with suicide. The Foundation is working in collaboration with NAMI-NYS, its Fiscal Sponsor, and the plan is to create a Garden of Remembrance and Hope in each county where a NAMI Affiliate exists.
